Biserica Românească
Biserica Românească (“The Romanian Church”) is a religious and cultural type of publication of the Romanian Orthodox Community in Italy that was printed regularly between 1976 and 1992.
The topics discussed in Biserica Românească are related to the problems and prospects of ecumenism and religious dialogue, the theological dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church, religious life in Romania and Italy, the contribution of the Orthodox Church in forming Romanian culture. Many remarkable cultural topics have been debated including the writings by Vasile Alecsandri, Zoe Dumitrescu-Buşulenga, Ioan Petru Culianu and Mircea Eliade.
Furthermore, the Review records the gatherings of the Romanian Orthodox Community in Italy, and bears witness to the strong commitment of the Orthodox world to the ecumenical dialogue, documenting the relationships established during those years with the representatives of Roman Catholicism.
